It's official: The Texans have **signed free agent veteran linebacker Jamie Winborn**. The team released rookie defensive end Tim Jamison, who recently had been called up from the practice squad, to make room for Winborn.
Winborn was a second-round pick by the 49ers out of Vanderbilt in 2001. He spent the past two seasons in Denver, starting 11 games for the Broncos in 2008.
