Members of the Houston Texans Rookie Class of 2021 hosted a PLAY 60 Day for students at Pro-Vision Academy to encourage youth to get out and get active. The Houston Texans Rookies and Texas Children's Hospital discussed the importance of a living a healthy lifestyle and lead the students in a fun day of football drills and activities to show the students how they can get fit and have fun.
PLAY 60 is the NFL's campaign to encourage kids across the country to get off the sidelines and be active for an hour a day to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity and put kids on a healthy trajectory for life. It is presented locally by Texas Children's Hospital.
📸 | TORO's Breast Cancer Awareness Flag
To honor those who have fought or are currently fighting cancer, TORO created a special Pink Ribbon Day flag that was used throughout Sunday's game. The flag is adorned by the names of individuals who have fought any form of cancer and were submitted by Texans teammates along with others who were submitted on social media earlier this season.

In October, the Houston Texans and Miller Lite stopped by Kids' Meals to celebrate Jessica Cordero, the 2021 winner of the Houston Texans Campeón de la Comunidad Award Presented by Miller Lite, long-time NASA employee and volunteer at Kids' Meals. TORO, Houston Texans Cheerleaders, Texans Legend Chester Pitts and Texans Defensive Back Terrance Mitchell joined Miller Lite to pack 840 meals that will be delivered to children in need around Houston. The Texans and Miller Lite also made a $20,000 donation to Kids' Meals in Jessica's honor.

The Texans joined TDECU at their Lake Jackson branch for a Member Appreciation event on Tuesday, October 5th. Texans DB Justin Reid, TORO, Texans Cheerleaders and Texans Legend Earl Mitchell took photos and signed autographs for local TDECU members as they enjoyed BBQ and live music from Brazoswood High School's drumline. Football players from Columbia, Brazosport, Brazoswood and Sweeney high schools came to support and meet the Texans.

📸 | 2021 Founder's Day | Hope Lodge Delivery
The McNair family, TORO and Texans Cheerleaders delivered letters of encouragement and welcome kits to the Hope Lodge on Founder's Day. Hope Lodge Houston, will provide free lodging and support for those traveling to the Houston area for cancer treatment, is the largest facility of its kind in the U.S. The 64-suite facility will be open year-round and include a shared kitchen, dining spaces, a pantry, daily linen service and patient laundry facilities, as well as a library and computer access. Support groups and social activities will also be available for residents.
