Texans give back to Texas Children’s Hospital Inpatient Rehab Unit

On Saturday, February 10th, the Houston Texans Senior Showcase presented by Gatorade took place at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Over 350 local area high school seniors participated in combine style drills for more than (40) DII, DIII, & NAIA colleges/university.

On Saturday, January 20th the Houston Texans hosted the a Playoff Skills Clinic at the Houston Methodist Training Center. In the celebration of the Divisional Round appearance, the Texans hosted over 150 youth football athletes from Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. Clinic participants took part in Playoff-style combine drills, and also received appearances from Texans Legends, TORO, and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

Houston Texans Legends Earl Mitchell, Moran Norris, Anthony Hill, and Jonathan Wells and Houston Texans Cheerleaders surprised Madison High School Students with popcorn as they came in for school for Texans Friday. Students and staff wore their favorite Texans gear to celebrate the Texans winning the AFC South.

To celebrate winning the AFC South Division and hosting a playoff game against the Cleveland Browns, the Houston Texans held a Flag-In-Schools Clinic Playoff Edition at Lockhart Elementary School. Houston Texans Legend Earl Mitchell and Houston Texans Cheerleaders helped teach kids the fundamentals of football and to get them excited for the upcoming playoff game.

Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation Hannah McNair and the Lady Texans hosted the YMCA holiday party at NRG Stadium. The Lady Texans enjoyed breakfast and games with the kids before they opened presents from their wish lists.

Nico Collins surprised 10 kids from the Boys & Girls club with a shopping spree at Dick's Sporting Goods.

Kenyon Green surprised the boys home with items off their holiday wish lists and new items for the residential facility in partnership through the Urban Enrichment Institute.

Jerry Hughes hosted Pro Vision's deserving students and their families with holiday gifts and a brunch reception.

Houston Texans Players and Legends helped surprised HISD Students to give away 100 bikes after practice.

To celebrate the holiday spirit, Desmond King surprised kids from the Boys & Girls Club with a holiday shopping spree.

Josh Jones helped surprise 15 kids from his childhood Boys & Girls Club at Spring Branch with a holiday shopping spree.

The Houston Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Ashley awarded $400,000 through the Inspire Change Grant Fund to 15 local nonprofits and educational programs working to make a difference in the Houston community. Grant recipients were celebrated at a reception at NRG Stadium with Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair, Vice President of the Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, Texans players, Legends, Cheerleaders and TORO.
