Texans players Neville Hewitt and MJ Stewart, Legend Wade Smith, Texans Cheerleaders and TORO stopped by Rosa Parks elementary school to kick off the Huddle Against Hunger presented by Kroger. Students participated in a trivia contest to answer questions about food insecurity. One lucky teacher also won free groceries for a year, courtesy of Kroger!

The Texans, Kroger and the Houston Food Bank are teamed up to celebrate students from Sam Houston Elementary School who completed the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum this year. The students competed in a scavenger hunt around Kroger in search of healthy food options. Texans DB Tavierre Thomas, Texans Cheerleaders and TORO helped the students find nutritional options and race to be the first to locate all items.

The Huddle Against Hunger Program presented by Kroger was developed in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and the Texans and is designed to help students better understand issues around food insecurity, hunger and the importance of nutrition.

Texans players Jonathan Owens and Chris Moore, Legend Cecil Shorts III, Texans Cheerleaders and TORO visited Tice Elementary to kickoff Huddle Against Hunger presented by Kroger and surprise one teach with free groceries for a year!

Students from J. Ruth Smith Elementary came out to Kroger for a scavenger hunt around the store and to learn about healthy choices when it comes to food. We partner with the Houston Food Bank and Kroger on the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum filled with fun activities, recipes and more to teach kids empathy and understanding around hunger.

The Texans kicked off another year of the Huddle Against Hunger Program presented by Kroger. Students at J. Ruth Smith Elementary School participated in a trivia game with Texans players and one lucky teacher was awarded groceries for a year courtesy of Kroger. The elementary school will be the first to achieve 100% teacher and student participation in the Huddle Against Hunger Program after this school year.

The Texans surprised kindergartners from Primrose School Summerwood at the Houston Food Bank when they came to donate over 500 pounds of food they had collected as part of Houston Texans Huddle Against Hunger presented by Kroger. Sign your classroom up today at here.
