10 Things to Know About Special Teams Coordinator Frank Ross

Earlier this offseason, the Texans hired Frank Ross to be their Special Teams Coordinator. Here are things to know about Ross:

  1. Ross spent 2018-2020 as the special teams assistant for the Colts;
  2. He worked in New England Patriots personnel department in 2011 and 2012;
  3. Ross was a scout for the Patriots from 2015-2017;
  4. He was part of the Super Bowl winning side in 2016 season with New England;
  5. He was an assistant coach at his alma mater John Carroll University in 2013 and 2014;
  6. He played collegiately at JCU from 2007-2010;
  7. As a wide receiver for JCU, Ross became the school's all-time receptions leader with 206 in his career;
  8. After his college career finished, Ross was a team captain and the game MVP in the Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) in Mexico City, Mexico;
  9. He appeared on the TV gameshow 'Deal or No Deal' in November of 2008 and won $14,000;
  10. He played quarterback at Canfield High School in Ohio.
