2014 opponents set for Texans

With 2013 complete, the Texans now look ahead to many things. The next head coach, as well as what the team will do with the first overall pick is unknown. But the club is certain of who and where they'll play in 2014.

The schedule of games will be released in mid-April, but Houston will face the AFC North, NFC East, Buffalo, and Oakland. Plus, the Texans will play home and away games against their AFC South Division rivals.

Houston will play the following teams, though not necessarily in this order, at Reliant Stadium: Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Philadelphia and Washington.

The Texans will play road games in 2014 at: Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Dallas and the New York Giants.

The only playoff teams on the schedule are the Colts, Bengals and Eagles. Those three squads are also the only teams that finished with records above .500.

The combined 2013 record of the Texans' 13 opponents for next season is 91-117. They'll face seven teams that had losing records in 2013.
