8 reasons O'Brien feels good about Alfred Blue

Alfred Blue started in place of Arian Foster Sunday against the Giants, and the rookie did some good things. He finished with 78 yards on just 13 carries, and his 46-yard jaunt in the third quarter helped set up the Texans' first touchdown of the day just two plays later. He also caught a 10-yard pass from Shane Lechler to help convert a 4th-down fake punt.

In the first two weeks of 2014, he had a combined 12 rushing attempts for 40 yards. Sunday was a

big chance for the former LSU Tiger, and he recognized it.

"You've just got to seize the opportunity when it is given to you," Blue said after the game. "I feel like it went pretty well for the first time."

On Monday, head coach Bill O'Brien was asked whether or not he felt good about what he's seen from Blue thusfar. O'Brien listed off some reasons for optimism about his young ball-carrier.

1. "Blue is a big back."
