Andre Johnson going through concussion protocol

A day after Andre Johnson exited the game with an apparent concussion, head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that the wide receiver indeed suffered that injury.

"He did have a concussion," Kubiak said. "He's obviously in the protocol. He's doing great today. He's out. Rode the bike today. Doing great, but he is in the protocol right now."

The 'protocol' is a process that all concussed players must pass through in the NFL. Johnson was knocked from the game after coming down with a 21-yard catch late in the fourth quarter

of the victory. Even though Johnson left with the injury, he might still be able to suit up Sunday at noon in Baltimore against the Ravens.

"Obviously it will be an end of the week decision because he's gotta go through the process," Kubiak said. "But I think after the game, talking to him, seeing where he's at today, obviously he's doing really well. I would expect the prorgress to go pretty quickly if it goes like it has the last 24 hours."

The Texans will have Tuesday off. They return to practice on Wednesday.
