Andre Johnson practices in helmet, shoulder pads

Andre Johnson was on the practice field Thursday, wearing a helmet and shoulder pads like the rest of his teammates. After suffering a concussion in Sunday's win over the Titans, head coach Gary Kubiak is optimistic that Johnson will play at Baltimore.

"Andre was a full go," Kubiak said. "All indications are that he's on to the weekend."

Johnson left Sunday's contest late in the fourth quarter after coming down with a 21-yard reception, and getting hit high by safety Bernard Pollard. The Tennessee defensive back was fined $42,000 by the NFL for the hit. Kubiak liked what he saw Thursday from Johnson at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

"He looked good," Kubiak said. "Today's the last hurdle. You see the NFL doctor one more time and then you're passed. So hopefully that takes place in the next 24 hours."

The Pro Bowl receiver leads the AFC with 222 receiving yards, and is tied with New England's Julian Edelman for the conference lead in receptions with 20.
