Arian Foster "feeling wonderful"

Arian Foster isn't feeling good.

Arian Foster isn't feeling great.

Arian Foster is in a much better place.

"I'm feeling wonderful," the Pro Bowl running back told the Houston media on Thursday morning.

Foster suffered a groin injury in early August, and missed the rest of training camp, as well as all four preseason games. He had surgery, has been through rehab, and said he's making progress "day by day".

He wouldn't give a timeline on when he'd return, but said "we're ahead of schedule".

Entering camp, he said he believed 2015 would be his best year, and he still thinks that will be the case.

Foster was never placed on injured reserve, and remains on the team's 53-man roster. Alfred Blue has started in his place, with Chris Polk and Jonathan Grimes getting reps as well.

In 13 games last season, Foster gained 1,246 yards on the ground. He ran for eight touchdowns, caught five scoring passes, and tossed a touchdown to C.J. Fiedorowicz in a Week 16 win over the Ravens.
