Arian Foster will be a game-time decision in Atlanta

Arian Foster's status for Sunday's game versus the Falcons will be determined in Atlanta.

"Either the night before, or 90 minutes before," head coach Bill O'Brien said, when asked when the team would know if Foster would play.

The 2010 NFL rushing king injured his groin on August 3, and returned to practice two weeks ago. He was with the team on a limited basis.

"I think each day is a day of improvement for him," offensive coordinator George Godsey said. "Just kind of putting it all together and just got a few more days here before the game, so hopefully there are another two good days, and we'll see where it's at."

In 2014, Foster gained 1,246 yards on the ground in 13 games.

O'Brien said Foster practiced again on Wednesday at the Houston Methodist Training Center with the Texans.

The Texans leave for Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.
