Back to work: Texans practice on Labor Day

The Texans went back to work on Labor Day.

After a weekend that saw most, if not all of the players and coaches helping out those affected by Hurricane Harvey and the aftermath, the Texans practiced on Monday at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

"Man, it feels good," outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus said. "To finally get a chance to get back into our routine and all that, and finally make these games count is exciting."

Mercilus and company started game week with a practice inside, and they're preparing to face the Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

"We have a big week coming up," running back Lamar Miller said. "We're dedicating this season to the City of Houston. Everybody is buying in, everybody is trying to do their assignment."

Kickoff on Sunday is at noon CT.
