Will Fuller, V will likely play on Sunday against the 49ers.
The speedy wide receiver, who's caught seven touchdowns in six games this season, was knocked from the Week 10 loss at Los Angeles with a ribs injury, and missed the following three games. But based off what head coach Bill O'Brien saw from the second-year pass catcher in Thursday's practice, a return to the field this Sunday is probable.
"I think it looks good for Will to be able to play," O'Brien said. "Yeah, as we sit here right now, no doubt."
Fuller met with the media on Thursday, and said it's "good to be back" with his teammates.
"I want to be back out there on the field," Fuller said. "I'm real excited to just be back out there with my team and trying to help them get a win. That's all I'm worried about."
Fuller missed the first three games of the regular season because of a collarbone injury in training camp. Despite the time away, he's still tied for third in the NFL in touchdown catches. He has 17 total receptions this season for 326 yards.
Quarterback Tom Savage is happy to have Fuller back in the fold because of his ability to open things up for DeAndre Hopkins and the other pass-catchers, as well as the running game.
"He's a burner," Savage said. "We can go and we can extend the field a little bit with him."
Fuller and the Texans will practice again on Friday, and host San Francisco this Sunday at noon CT inside NRG Stadium.
