Bill O'Brien on Monday message to Texans

A day after the Texans fell to Green Bay, Bill O'Brien explained what his message was with four games remaining.

"Very truthful message," the head coach said during his Monday press conference. "We need everybody to step up. Need everybody to step up whether they're banged up, getting extra treatment, being attentive in the meetings, practicing hard."

The loss dropped Houston to 6-6 on the season. The Texans remain atop the AFC South, as their win over the 6-6 Titans breaks the tie. But O'Brien stressed that his message wasn't limited just to the players.

"We need everybody coaching," O'Brien said. "We need to do a better job coaching. We watched about 100 plays from the game as a staff today. Obviously, like I always say, it starts with me. I have to do a better job."

The Texans travel to Indianapolis this weekend for a Sunday matchup at noon CT with the Colts. Indianapolis is in New Jersey tonight for a Week 13 matchup with the Jets.
