It's a heartwarming commercial starts simply with J.J. Watt's voice:
"Millions of people support our dreams every single day but there's people with everyday dreams that we get a chance to support now and that's really cool."
Millions support superstars like Watt and NBA MVP Kevin Durant.
To pay it forward, both Watt and NBA MVP Kevin Durant then show up and surprise fans with signs cheering them in the new American Family Insurance commercial. Watt felt the experience was just as special for him as it was for the fans.
"Yeah, that was really cool," Watt said Wednesday. "It's a lot of fun to be able to give back to the fans in that kind of setting especially when people aren't expecting it and you show up. They're just doing their daily thing. It was pretty cool. It's a lot of fun."
Watt and Durant put on their fan hats and championed various people striving to reach their goals, a dancer named Amanda, a boys' basketball team, Krystal the skater, and Rusty who was mid-run while training for a marathon when the Texans star defensive end ran up next to him.
But there was one fan that really captured Watt's attention, Tiana, a single mother and nurse.
"She has three kids," Watt said. "She works 12-hour shifts. She started just crying as soon as she walked out. That was a really, really special moment where you sit there and you think. This woman works 12-hour shifts every single day to help raise her children by herself. We're over here playing – I'm playing a game with a ball and getting paid a ridiculous amount of money to do it. Why in the world would I ever have a complaint? It's just one of those that puts life into perspective. It was a very special day."
