BWTB: Clowney's historic traffic numbers

!
When it comes to Houston Texans first round pick Jadeveon Clowney...everyone knows the numbers.

6-foot-5.
265 pounds.
4.5 forty-yard dash.

Well, there's another number you can add to the mix now...the number one. As in the most popular video...of the entire year.

By now, I'm sure many of you have seen it. Actually, I know that for a fact.

Clowney's 'monster hit' on Atlanta Falcons running back Antone Smith went viral on Saturday night, making a historic run in terms of web traffic that we've never seen at www.HoustonTexans.com.

That video, which you can see on the right, is now the most watched video of 2014 on this website. Remember, that 'hit' occurred just over 48 hours ago.

Not impressive enough? Going back through the history of HT.com, only one video has ever been viewed more. That would be Brian Cushing's mic'd up segment from back in November 2011. That video's views have been accumulating for the past three years. Clowney's video hasn't even been on the website for three full days.

Clowney's ability was tabbed as 'once in a generation' by many analysts leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft. Two games into his Texans career, albeit in the preseason, the former South Carolina Gamecock has shown flashes of that immense talent, making big plays in his limited action on the field.

His college career made national headlines because of 'the hit' he put on Michigan running back Vincent Smith. While the Texans version of that 'hit' hasn't reached those levels, it is off to a good start.
