CB Johnathan Joseph among Texans inactives

Cornerback Johnathan Joseph will not play at Indianapolis.

A ribs injury he suffered last Sunday at Green Bay prevented the 11-year veteran from practicing this week. On Saturday, the Texans put receiver Jaelen Strong on injured reserve, and signed cornerback Denzel Rice to the 53-man roster.

Since rookie receiver Braxton Miller is also inactive, the Texans will have three receivers active in DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Keith Mumphery.

Here are the rest of the Texans inactives:

RB Tyler Ervin
CB Johnathan Joseph
WR Braxton Miller
QB Tom Savage
OLB John Simon
OL Josh Walker
DE Ufomba Kamalu

The Texans checked in at Lucas Oil Stadium before their Week 14 showdown with the Colts.
