Clowney to play "a little bit more" this week

Jadeveon Clowney was on the field for 32 of the 61 defensive snaps against Tennessee.

Expect that number to go up this Sunday against Philadelphia.

"I think he'll be in there a little bit more," head coach Bill O'Brien said on Monday. "We'll see how he feels throughout the week. I think it's still a process of not being out there for whatever it was, seven

weeks, and now coming back. I don't think he's ready to play 80 plays in a game, but I think we can keep working him in there more."

Clowney played in the first half of the Week 1 win over Washington, but exited that contest with a knee injury. Surgery followed in the days after, and he'd been rehabbing since. He returned to game action Sunday against the Titans and tfinished with one tackle. After, described whether or not he was in pain.

"Just in the knee right now," Clowney said. "I was a little nervous about going out there on my knee so I built confidence later in the game but it's still sore a little bit. It will just keep getting better week by week."

The Texans host the Eagles at NRG Stadium this Sunday at noon CT.
