"It's an honor for our school, administration and for our football team to be recognized by the Texans, and of course it's a very humbling experience for me," Joseph said. "It's not just about me, it's about our staff and the community and everything that goes into making Katy football. For that, I'm really pleased with the honor."

He also wins an all-expense paid trip to Super Bowl XLVIII in New York.  Additionally, two Shula Coach of the Year finalists will receive $2,500 while $5,000 grants will be awarded to their high school football programs.
