The Texans go on the road eight times in 2020. Now, I know what I need to say next...if, IF we play the schedule as was laid out before us on Thursday evening. So, I'm not going to mess with that and I'm going to go with the plan.

Eight road games. Eight trips to take. Here's how I look at those trips.

1. Kansas City - Thursday September 10, 2020 7:20 PM CST

Things to look forward to:
Burnt ends BBQ
Raucous environment at Arrowhead - a wonderful football venue
Opportunity to ruin a celebratory night
Only night game currently on the schedule

Challenges:
Pat
Tyreek
Travis
Ty

2. Pittsburgh - Sunday September 27, 2020 12:00 PM CST

Things to look forward to:
A three Watt reunion
Fries ON my sandwich
Sunny Sunday on the water
A fantastic city to walk around and visit the day before the game

Challenges:
Could be hotter than usual - for a guy in long-sleeve shirt, tie and pullover, that's a concern
Ben should be back
That defense...ooof.

3. Tennessee - Sunday October 18, 2020 12:00 PM CST

Things to look forward to:
Saturday night before the game on Broadway and dinner
Love, LOVE the Nashville trip every year
1st AFC South road trip of the year

Challenges:
60 minutes of Derrick Henry
The rise of A.J. Brown
Vrabel's bag of tricks

4. Jacksonville - Sunday November 8, 2020 12:00 PM CST

Things to look forward to:
It's my home away from home
The beach
The river
It's not London...the flight, the travel

Challenges:
It's not London...Wembley, the experience
Minshew Mania is different in Duval

5. Cleveland - Sunday November 15, 2020 12:00 CST

Things to look forward to:
1st trip to Cleveland in six years
Love downtown Cleveland
Getting to see LeBron...uh, maybe??

Challenges:
Quiet, but really, REALLY productive offseason
Top five set of skill players in the league
Weather? In November?

6. Detroit - Thursday November 26, 2020 11:30 CST

Things to look forward to:
Thanksgiving football!!
Turkey dinner on flight home
Indoor game in Midwest in November - Yay!
LONG weekend after coming home

Challenges:
11:30 AM is earliest kickoff time of the year
It's an early kick on a short week

7. Chicago - Sunday December 13, 2020 12:00 PM CST

Things to look forward to:
Last stadium to visit in the NFL (minus new LA/Las Vegas)
Get to break out the winter gear
Choice of Chicago style pizza, Italian beef sandwich or Italian sausage for dinner

Challenges:
Chicago in December? Positive double digit temps aren't happening
The last two trips were two of the worst weather games in Texans history
It's going to be cold...sense a theme, here?

8. Indianapolis - Saturday December 19 OR Sunday December 20

Things to look forward to:
Dinner - annual Prime 47 trip
We know Indy very well, one of my favorite trips of the year
Game?? INSIDE!!
Last time to see Philip Rivers?

Challenges:
Last time to see Philip Rivers?
Every game since I've been on sideline (2014) has been an EXTREMELY stressful one
It's the Colts...that's never fun, is it?
