Running back Ahman Green is in town this weekend to meet with the Texans' brass and tour the team's facilities. Tonight he will attend the Houston Rockets' game against the rival San Antonio Spurs at the Toyota Center.

Green is a well-known commodity inside Reliant Stadium. Assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Mike Sherman spent six seasons with Green during his tenure as head coach of the Packers from 2000-05.

A nine-year veteran from Nebraska, Green (6-0, 218) is well-versed in the zone blocking scheme that the Texans utilize. Battling injuries, Green has played in only 19 games the past two seasons, but he has proven to be one of the most versatile backs in the league with his power-speed combination. Last year, he totaled 1,059 rushing yards on 266 carries with five touchdowns. He's been to four Pro Bowls in his career.
