Gary Kubiak: "I will be" coaching on field

If he has his way with doctors, Gary Kubiak will be back on the sidelines this week.

"We're meeting here when I leave you guys in a little bit," Kubiak said during his Friday afternoon press conference. "I'm going to win, though. Count on it."

The head coach has been up in the booth in each of the last two contests, and was at home when the

Texans traveled to Arizona in Week 10. He collapsed during the Week 9 contest against the Colts, and was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital. He spent a few days there recuperating from a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

Kubiak was confident on Friday that his days away from the sideline are finished. "I need to get back down there," Kubiak said. "I don't know, it's been different up there the last couple of weeks. I'm excited to get back down there and do what I normally do. Looking forward to it."

Kubiak and the Texans host the Patriots this Sunday at noon, CT.
