Counting the number of Texans draft picks is like evaluating Houston weather – it could change fast.
The Texans currently have eight selections, five of them acquired via trades. The first round pick is at 28th, thanks to a 12-win season and playoff game win.
After that, you only have to wait ten picks to see the Texans on the clock again, selecting the first of their two second round picks at number 38 overall, thanks to last year's Laremy Tunsil deal. Then, they'll pick 59th, before using their only third round selection at 69th overall.
This means your Texans can grab four of the top 69 players in this draft without making any more trades.
If things stand pat, Friday night of draft weekend will see three new Texans picked, making for a busy and fun evening. Saturday will feature Houston going to the podium 6th in Round four, at 106 overall. Then, two in the fifth and one in the 7th, to round out the draft.
