J.J. Watt has "day off" on Wednesday

J.J. Watt did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

The defensive end missed Wednesday's work at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

Head coach Bill O'Brien said it was just "a day off" for the 2-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Watt played all 58 snaps on defense in Sunday's 24-6 win over the Saints, and finished with two sacks and eight quarterback hits.

On the season, Watt has an NFL-best 13.5 sacks, and has recorded a sack in each of the last five games.

He and the Texans face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at noon CT in Orchard Park, New York.
