Kubiak: Brisiel foot injury "doesn't look good"

The biggest news to come out of coach Gary Kubiak's 3:30 p.m. presser was that starting right guard Mike Brisiel suffered a foot injury late in the Cardinals game. It came on a fourth-quarter run by Steve Slaton just before Matt Schaub was intercepted by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for the deciding touchdown.

Brisiel finished the game despite the injury, but Kubiak said that "it doesn't look good right now." If Brisiel were to miss any time, Kubiak indicated that Chris White and rookie Antoine Caldwell would probably split time at his position.

During a 45-minute open locker room session before Kubiak's press conference, wide receiver Andre Johnson, left tackle Duane Brown, fullback Vonta Leach and cornerback Dunta Robinson spoke with the media. Brown said "it's all about attitude" when asked about how the team can improve their running game, particularly near the goal line. I'm putting together a story on the Texans' short-yardage issues for later this evening.
