Leak headlines Shrine Game

The Shrine Game will be played Saturday, January 20 at Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL's Houston Texans.  The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and will kick off at 6 p.m. CST.

Leak and Tate will quarterback the East squad along with Tulane's Lester Ricard, while Nebraska's Zac Taylor, the 2006 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, will join John Beck of BYU and Jeff Rowe of Nevada at quarterback for the West.

Players in their senior season are eligible to play in the game and are selected by a committee of NFL scouts and former college coaches.  The 95 players represent 69 different colleges and universities, and they hail from 30 states as well as

Legendary NFL head coaches Don Shula and Dan Reeves will coach the two squads, with Shula guiding the East team and Reeves coaching the West.  They will be assisted by current NFL coaches.
