Lonnie Johnson Jr. picks off QB Mac Jones for an interception in back-to-back games

Lonnie Johnson Jr. picked off New England Patriots QB Mac Jones early on the opening drive of the third quarter on Sunday.

The third-year defensive back has two interceptions in as many weeks after recording his first career interception a week ago at Buffalo.

On the second play of the third quarter, Johnson intercepted Jones on a pass intended for WR Nelson Agholor at the New England 44-yard line.

Two plays later, Davis Mills threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to WR Chris Conley on a flea-flicker. Mark Ingram pitched the ball to Mills, who found Conley for the score. The Texans took a 22-9 lead over the Patriots with 13:31 left in the third quarter.

Houston has six interceptions on the season after Johnson's takeaway.

The Texans will host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. Sunday's kickoff is set for noon CT. Click here for tickets.
