10 of the Texans' 16 2020 opponents wound up in the playoffs this year.
Houston faced the top seed in each conference, four eventual division champs, and a 16-game slate of foes who combined to go 138-117-1. The Texans went 4-12, with two wins against the Jaguars, as well as victories over New England and Detroit.
After this weekend's round of Wild Card games, four teams the Texans faced in the regular season are still alive in the quest for a Super Bowl title.
Their first three opponents--Kansas City, Baltimore and Pittsburgh--all won at least 11 games in 2020. That trio was a combined 37-11 this season, and the Chiefs wound up as the top seed in the AFC.
The Packers visited Houston in Week 7, and picked up one of their 13 victories en route to the top seed in the NFC this year. Houston closed the regular season with four of the last five contests coming against playoff squads, as the Texans faced the Colts at home and on the road, the Bears in Chicago and the Titans at home in that final stretch.
