Training Camp number 20 is here for the Texans and also for your narrator. Having witnessed all of them, I'm here to tell you that, outside of the Hard Knocks visit in 2015, the coverage will be unprecedented.
We'll have more players and coaches mic'd up than ever, we'll have more interviews than ever and we'll make sure you get to know all the new faces as well as possible before they hit the field for the September 12 opener against Jacksonville.
The first thing you need to know is that we 'broadcast' every day before practice on our social media platforms and HoustonTexans.com. If you're reading this on the Texans App, turn on your notifications to know when we're live. I know, I know. You already get a boatload of notifications, but this is football! You want this!
Deepi Sidhu and Drew Dougherty will anchor the scene setting video coverage on Texans social accounts, the Texans App and HoustonTexans.com. Then flip your phone to the Texans App (they will remind you of this) for Texans Training Camp Live on Sports Radio 610. John Harris and I are live at practice from 8-10am.
Nobody outside of the Culley and Caserio crew knows the roster better than John. We'll be joined by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle every day and Nick Caserio will be on many of the shows live. We'll also have plenty of quick player interviews to get you acclimated to all levels of the depth chart ('Depth chart?! Where's the depth chart? Can I see it?' – No it doesn't exist yet. I'm just using this as a figure of speech. Calm down. Soon enough we'll have one).
Sports Radio 610 will also have their morning and midday shows out there.
We'll go live after practice on all the Texans platforms with the press conferences and have a buffet of articles, videos, photos and player interviews to consume throughout the day. The day wraps with Texans All Access every weeknight from 6-7pm.
There are so many stories to tell. A great look at some of the new players is on the NFL Films Special: A Brand New Game that aired Sunday night on ABC 13. You can watch it here. It gives you outstanding footage of some of the men that will be gearing up for the season in camp and making plays this fall.
