Notable names picked 80th overall

With eight selections in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Texans have plenty of chances to add help to the roster. They have a trio of third rounders this April, and today we're checking out the 80th overall pick, which is the second of those three selections in the third.

Over the last week or so, we've examined some notable names in NFL history that went in each of the Texans overall picks.

Two Pro Football Hall of Famers were the 80th overall pick in the NFL Draft, as offensive lineman Art Shell was tabbed by the Raiders in 1968, and offensive lineman Jim Ringo was picked by the Packers in 1953.

In 1969 the Eagles took left guard Bob Kuechenberg in the fourth round with the 80th overall selection, and he went on to a 14-year career with a pair of Super Bowl rings as a Dolphin.

Linebacker Bill Romanowski was picked by San Francisco at 80th overall in 1988, and he lasted 16 seasons in the League, with four Super Bowl championships.

Below are some of the most notable 80th overall picks.
