The home of BBQ was bound to be near the top of the list!

"We are honored to be recognized by USA Today with these prestigious awards, " said Texans President Mike Tomon. "Our goal is for our fans to have a world-class experience every time they attend a Texans game. Everything we do is with our fans in mind and we are constantly working with our partners at NRG Stadium to enhance all aspects of gameday. We can't wait for another exciting season of Texans football at NRG Stadium!"

USAToday was effusive in praising the NRG Stadium gameday experience.

"From football games to concerts to rodeos, NRG Stadium is one of the most impressive event venues in the entirety of the Lone Star State. Texas barbecue and optimal sightlines abound all throughout the arena," USAToday's editors wrote.

And clearly the H-Town food scene makes gameday even better for fans.

"NRG partners with local chefs and personalities — James Beard Award winner Chris Shepherd, Truth BBQ, Goode Co., El Tiempo, Trill Burger, and Hugo's, among many others," USAToday wrote. "Visitors can also sip on local brews, wine, and cocktails from lounges, cantinas, concession stands, and saloons. Desserts abound too, with options ranging from Voodoo Doughnuts to Dippin' Dots."

If you haven't been in a while, make plans to join the Texans at NRG Stadium on September 15 for the team's regular season home opener. It's a Monday Night showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it's Liberty White Out in Houston - all fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
