OFFICIAL: Texans sign QB Brandon Weeden

The Houston Texans signed unrestricted free agent QB Brandon Weeden. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Weeden, 34, has played in 34 career regular season games (25 starts) over six seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2012-13), Dallas Cowboys (2014-15), Houston Texans (2015-16) and Tennessee Titans (2017). He played in two games (one start) for the Texans in 2015, completing 26-of-42 passes (61.9 percent) for 305 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and a 107.7 passer rating. He led Houston to their first win in Indianapolis in franchise history in Week 15 of the 2015 season and a 34-6 victory over the Titans in Week 16 of the 2015 season. For his career, Weeden (6-3, 230) has completed 559-of-965 passes (57.9 percent) for 6,462 yards, 31 touchdowns, 30 interceptions and a 76.0 passer rating. He was originally drafted by the Browns with the 22nd overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State.
