Path to the Draft: 27th pick a hotspot for trade activity

Texans general manager Rick Smith said Tuesday that he's open to trading the 27th overall pick in the draft, noting that the latter part of the first round is historically an attractive spot for trades.

There has been a trade involving the 27th pick in four of the last 10 drafts. What's more, there has been a trade involving at least one of the 26th, 27th or 28th picks in each of the last 10 drafts.
