THE TEXANS:

  • Recorded a defensive interception for the third consecutive game, setting a new franchise with seven total interceptions in a three-game span from Weeks 9-12
  • Tied a season high with four total defensive sacks, marking the team's seventh game with multiple sacks this season
  • Limited the Jets offense to 2-of-13 (15 percent) on third down attempts, the defense's lowest rate allowed this season
  • Limited the Jets to 109 passing yards, the lowest total allowed by the Texans defense since holding Jacksonville to 89 passing yards in Week 17 of the 2018 season

  • 2nd Quarter – TE Brevin Jordan caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from QB Tyrod Taylor, capping off a five-play, 24-yard drive (2:47) to give the Texans a 7-3 lead after K Ka'imi Fairbairn connected on the extra point attempt
  • 2nd Quarter – WR Brandin Cooks caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from QB Tyrod Taylor, concluding a six-play, 67-yard drive (2:47), extending the Texans lead to 14-3 following the converted extra point attempt by K Ka'imi Fairbairn

RB REX BURKHEAD

  • Led the team in with 12 carries for 27 yards (2.3 avg.) and notched three receptions for 27 yards (9.0 avg.)

WR NICO COLLINS

  • Finished second on the team with 28 receiving yards on two receptions (14.0 avg.)

WR BRANDIN COOKS

  • Led the team with 45 receiving yards on three receptions
  • Caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from QB Tyrod Taylor in the second quarter to increase the Texans lead to 14-3. The play marked his 75th reception of 25-plus yards since entering the NFL in 2014, sixth-most in the league during that span

LB ZACH CUNNINGHAM

  • Finished tied for first on the team with eight tackles (six solo) and tied a career high with two tackles for loss

DL JONATHAN GREENARD

  • Finished with two tackles (one solo), one sack, two quarterback hits and a forced fumble
  • Strip sacked QB Zach Wilson in the fourth quarter for a loss of 8 yards, moving his season total to 8.0 sacks

LB KAMU GRUGIER-HILL

  • Finished third on the team with seven tackles (six solo) and added one sack
  • Sacked QB Zach Wilson in the first quarter for a loss of nine yards, his second sack of the season

TE BREVIN JORDAN

  • Finished with three receptions for 23 receiving yards (7.7 avg.) and a touchdown
  • Caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from QB Tyrod Taylor in the second quarter to give the Texans a 7-3 lead. Joined Pat Freiermuth (six receiving touchdowns) as the only NFL rookie tight ends with multiple receiving scores this season

DL JACOB MARTIN

  • Finished with two tackles (one solo), one sack, a quarterback hit and a tackle for loss
  • Sacked QB Zach Wilson in the first quarter for a loss of nine yards, his fourth sack of the season
  • Has registered at least 1.0 sack in three consecutive games, tied for the longest sack streak of his career

DB TERRANCE MITCHELL

  • Finished with three tackles (two solo) and tied a season high with two passes defensed

DB JIMMY MORELAND

  • Made one special teams tackle, his first as a Texan
  • Tackled KR Braxton Berrios while covering a kickoff in the second quarter

DB ERIC MURRAY

  • Finished tied for first on the team with eight tackles (five solo)

DB JONATHAN OWENS

  • Made one special teams tackle, the first of his NFL career
  • Tackled PR Braxton Berrios while covering a punt in the second quarter

QB TYROD TAYLOR

  • Completed 17-of-26 passes (65.4 percent) for 158 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, earning a passer rating of 91.5
  • Rushed twice for 30 yards (15.0 avg.). Scrambled for a season-long 30-yard gain in the third quarter, the longest rush by a Texans quarterback since Week 17 of the 2018 season
  • Completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to TE Brevin Jordan in the 2nd quarter
  • Threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to WR Brandin Cooks in the 2nd quarter

DB TAVIERRE THOMAS

  • Finished with three tackles (all solo), a pass defensed and one special teams tackle
  • Recorded his first career interception, picking off a pass from QB Zach Wilson in the first quarter

DL DeMARCUS WALKER
