Powe Inks With Houston

The Texans added depth to the defensive line on Tuesday, inking former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Jerrell Powe. Powe, who spent the past three seasons in Kansas City, appeared in two games in 2013, including his first ever start against San Diego on December 29.

Powe was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft out of Ole Miss. Powe played 37 games for the Rebels, recording 69 tackles, 24 stops for loss and seven sacks.

In 2012, Powe suited up in nine games for Kansas City, rotating in on defense and special teams. He amassed six tackles during the campaigh, including five solo stops.

Last season Powe played in two games, recording two tackles, a quarterback pressure and one sack.
