According to reports from multiple media outlets, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has agreed to a deal with the Houston Texans. The team has not indicated whether or not the reports are accurate. The Texans typically don't comment on transactions unless they are official.
Hopkins was the first round selection at 27th overall in 2013 after a standout collegiate career at Clemson. The rookies have reported for training camp, and practices begin on Friday morning at the Methodist Training Center. Second rounder D.J. Swearinger and third rounder Brennan Williams are the only Texans' draftees that remain unsigned.
As a junior in 2012, Hopkins snared 18 touchdown passes and finished with 82 receptions for 1,405 yards. He was sixth in the nation with an average of 108.1 yards receiving per game.
