The Texans will be without starting safety Quintin Demps on Saturday night at New England.
The AFC's Defensive Player of the Month for December injured his hamstring in the Wild Card playoff win over the Raiders, and was limited in practice this week.
Demps finished 2016 with six interceptions.
Along with cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson, and long snapper Jon Weeks, Demps had appeared in every playoff game in team history.
