Safety 1st: Danieal Manning returns

Danieal Manning is back.

The safety signed with the Texans on Monday after spending the offseason, training camp and preseason with the Bengals. He played for Houston in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The veteran defensive back's first go-round with the Texans started in 2011 when the lockout ended. He and cornerback Johnathan Joseph signed free agent deals late that July, and helped lead the team

to it's first playoff berth.

He had a pair of interceptions that season, as well as two more in 2012. He started the first six games last year before a leg injury against Saint Louis sent him to the injured reserve.

In addition to his duties on defense, Manning also returned kickoffs from time-to-time with the Texans.

He and the squad will practice on Tuesday afternoon at the Houston Methodist Training Center.
