Schaub nominated for FedEx Air award

For the third time this season, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has been nominated for the for FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week award.

Schaub completed 29 of 39 passes for 365 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in the Texans' 34- 7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. He threw for 336 yards in the first half alone and finished with a passer rating of 109.5.

Schaub was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after the Texans' Week 2 victory at Tennessee. On the season, he ranks fourth in the NFL in passing yards (3,814), fifth in touchdown passes (24), second in completion percentage (68.5) and sixth in passer rating (98.2).

Voting for the FedEx honors is open until Friday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. CT. Other players nominated include New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell.
