For the third time this season, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has been nominated as one of the finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week award. The other finalists include Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill.

In the Texans' 24-21 win over Green Bay, Schaub completed 28-of-42 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns. He set a franchise record in passing yards and matched a career high with attempts. The victory gave Houston its second three-game win streak of the season.

Schaub ranks third in the NFL in completion percentage this season, hitting 67.7 percent of his throws.

Fan votes determine the winner, and voting already has begun. The voting closes Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. CT.
