Schaub ranks seventh in the NFL with a 92.7 passer rating.

For the fourth time this season, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has been nominated as one of the finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week award. The other finalists are New England Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.

In the Texans' 13-12 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Schaub completed 23 of 39 attempts for 284 yards and a touchdown against one of the league's best defenses. Schaub has thrown for 698 passing yards in his last two games, the most passing yards in back-to-back games in Texans history. The victory over Tennessee gave Houston its first-ever four-game winning streak.

Schaub ranks fourth in the NFL in completion percentage this season, hitting 66.6 percent of his throws.

Fan votes determine the winner, and voting already has begun. The voting closes Friday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. CT.
