Safety Kendrick Lewis stripped running back DeMarco Murray, and linebacker Justin Tuggle pounced on the loose ball. It was the third forced fumble of 2014 for Lewis, and the first career fumble recovery for Tuggle.
The Texans now have 10 takeaways on the whole this season, after getting just 11 in all of 2013.
The strip came on a 3rd-and-1 at the Texans' 12-yard line, with 4:28 remaining in the first quarter.
Three of the red zone takeaways have been in the red zone, and the fumble recovery against Dallas was the fifth of 2014.
