Texans elevate Jones to active roster

HOUSTON– The Houston Texans announced today that they have signed left tackle Garrick Jones from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster and have signed offensive lineman Curry Dawson to the practice squad.

Jones (6-5, 311) has been on the Texans practice squad since September 2, after spending training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dawson (6-6, 280) spent time with the St. Louis Rams, earning a spot on their practice squad this season after spending all of training camp with the club. He also spent time with the Chicago Bears during the 2002 season.

         To
         make room on the roster, the Texans released offensive lineman
         Michael Keathley from the active roster.
