Texans force 11th turnover, equal 2013 mark

It didn't take long, but the Texans have forced as many turnovers in 2014 as they did all of last season.

A second quarter fumble recovery on special teams, combined with a first quarter red zone takeaway pushed the season's turnover mark to 11. In less than five games, the Texans matched what they did in 16 last year.

Linebacker Jeff Tarpinian knocked the ball loose from return man Dwayne Harris at the Dallas 38-yard line, and running back Alfred Blue recovered for Houston at the 43-yard line. It was the first forced fumble and recovered fumble of their respective careers.

In the first quarter, the Texans took the ball back from the Cowboys when Kendrick Lewis stripped DeMarco Murray and Justin Tuggle recovered.

There was no score at the time of both turnovers.
