Texans have record attendance at 2014 Draft Party

It was a historic night for the franchise as a record-setting 10,869 fans celebrated night one of the 2014 NFL Draft at the Texans Draft Party presented by Coors Light. The sold-out group of Texans faithful gathered on the Reliant Stadium 100-level concourse to mingle with other fans, players and Texans Cheerleaders while waiting for the much anticipated announcement of the Texans' No. 1 overall selection.

"Superfans" showed their team spirit by wearing everything from Texans jerseys and hats to themed luchador masks and sombreros. Of course, a few No. 2 Texas A&M jerseys and some Jadeveon Clowney gear could be found sprinkled in among the Texans garb.

Among the draft night festivities was the performance debut of the 2014 Houston Texans Cheerleaders. The squad danced in front of fans at Section 110, and each of the members was introduced by name.

Fans relocated to the stadium seats and turned their attention to the NFL's largest videoboards once the Texans were on the clock to make their first round selection. The lower bowl erupted in cheers as NFL Commission Roger Goodell named Jadeveon Clowney the newest Houston Texan.
