The Texans have completed their eight-man practice squad by signing guard Cody White.

White (6-3, 301), an undrafted rookie from Illinois State, was cut by the Texans on Friday. He was Illinois State's starting left tackle as a senior in 2011. He played left and right tackle in 2010 after starting his career as a tight end.

The Texans signed seven players to their practice squad on Saturday, leaving one spot open. It's possible they were considering filling it with guard Shelley Smith, whom they released on Saturday to make room on the active roster for tackle Ryan Harris, but Smith was claimed off waivers by the St. Louis Rams.

The Texans' practice squad consists of White, quarterback Case Keenum, running back Jonathan Grimes, safety Eddie Pleasant, wide receiver Jeff Maehl, tight end Phillip Supernaw, defensive end David Hunter and outside linebacker Delano Johnson.
