Texans sign 5 draft picks, 21 undrafted free agents

The Texans signed five of their eight draft picks and 21 undrafted rookie free agents, the team announced on Monday.

The draft picks to sign were fourth-rounders Ben Jones (center, Georgia), Keshawn Martin (wide receiver, Michigan State) and Jared Crick (defensive end, Nebraska); fifth-rounder Randy Bullock (kicker, Texas A&M); and sixth-rounder Nick Mondek (tackle, Purdue).

First-round pick Whitney Mercilus (outisde linebacker, Illinois) and third-rounders DeVier Posey (wide receiver, Ohio State) and Brandon Brooks (guard, Miami (Ohio)) are the Texans' only remaining draft picks not yet under contract.

The Texans' undrafted free agent class is headlined by Houston quarterback Case Keenum, North Carolina wide receiver Dwight Jones, Oregon safety Eddie Pleasant and BYU nose tackle Loni Fangupo.

Also signing on the dotted line Monday were TCU tight end Logan Brock, James Madison outside linebacker Derrell Bryant, Illinois fullback Jason Ford, William & Mary running back Jonathan Grimes, Houston nose tackle David Hunter, Missouri wide receiver Jerrell Jackson, Bowie State outside linebacker Delano Johnson, Merrimack inside linebacker Shawn Louiseau, Grambling wide receiver Mario Louis, Toledo safety Desmond Marrow, Maryland running back Davin Meggett, Mary Hardin-Baylor tackle Nathan Menkin, Clemson defensive end Rennie Moore Jr., Baylor defensive end Tracy Robertson, Ouachita Baptist tight end Phillip Supernaw, Illinois State guard Cody White and Pittsburgh inside linebacker Greg Williams.
