The Texans made several roster moves on Monday coming off of their bye week break.

They signed nose tackle Terrell McClain to replace rookie defensive end David Hunter, who was placed on injured reserve with a toe injury. They also re-signed offensive tackle Nick Mondek and defensive end Keith Browner to their practice squad. They released practice squad defensive tackle Lamar Divens and linebacker Cameron Collins.

McClain (6-2, 300) was a third-round draft pick by the Carolina Panthers out of South Florida in 2011. He started the first 12 games of his rookie season and had 19 tackles and a sack before suffering a season-ending left knee injury. He was released by Carolina on Sept. 2, signed by the New England Patriots on Sept. 26 and released Oct. 2 after appearing in one game.

Hunter, an undrafted rookie from the University of Houston and a native Houstonian, was signed two weeks ago from the practice squad. He suffered a season-ending injury during his second practice as a member of the active roster.

The Texans selected Mondek (6-5, 303) in the sixth round of this year's draft out of Purdue. He was released in the first round of preseason roster cuts on Aug. 27 and spent a couple weeks on the Oakland Raiders' practice squad. Browner (6-4, 276), who went undrafted out of Cal in 2011, signed with the Texans in June after a trying out in mini-camp. He was released in the final round of cuts on Aug. 31.
