Drew Dougherty answered a few fan questions from Twitter in the video above. He answered some more in the article below. If you were stranded in the wild, would you be able to start the fire?
@mk1417: Dear Drew, Odds on four square being a thing, again this year?
DD: Good odds. J.J. Watt, D.J. Reader and the rest of the defensive linemen played it and loved it in 2017 at The Greenbrier. Defensive line coach Anthony Weaver was always in the mix as a player too, so I imagine we'll see it next week.
Oscar Herrera: Dear Drew, Do you think Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. will become the powerhouse DUO we belive them to be? Do you think the Texans will have the Best Offensive DUO and Best Defensive DUO?
DD: Oscar, as it goes with most questions about the Texans in 2018, it all reverts back to health. If both guys are healthy, there's no reason they shouldn't wreck shop on the rest of the League. They're tremendous players, and we've never truly had a chance to see both of them healthy and together for an extended period of time.
As far as an offensive duo, quarterback Deshaun Watson and receiver DeAndre Hopkins are a pretty amazing duo. But Watson and Will Fuller linked up for 13 passes, seven of which resulted in touchdowns. How about TWO amazing offensive duos for the Texans?
@kjntxn: Dear Drew, What players from the previous season are in danger of losing their positions this year?
DD: Every spot on the offensive line, save for center Nick Martin, will likely be occupied by someone new. C.J. Fiedorowicz was the opening day starter at tight end last year, and he's now retired.
On defense, the safety position will look the most different. Marcus Gilchrist and Andre Hal started the lion's share of the games there last year. The former is now a Raider, and the latter is now fighting lymphoma.
@KaptainKirk90: Dear Drew, How is Deshaun's injury progress coming along? Will he be 100% by pre-season? Thanks, Drew!
DD: Great! He took part in 7-on-7's and individual work during OTAs and minicamp in May and June. It sounds like he'll be a full go for training camp too. He said he was feeling good after the last practice of minicamp.
@mthornton523: Dear Drew, Who do you think will win the division?
DD: The Jaguars are the reigning division champs and the team to beat. But if anybody can do it, Watson and the Texans can.
@angusbeast96: Dear Drew, What are the biggest training camp battles?
DD: Tight end and safety are the biggest battles in my mind. The offensive line as a whole is competitive, but that's five spots. Who emerges at tight end and safety will be fascinating.
@texascityslim: Dear Drew, What are your predictions/expectations from the running back position this season (barring injuries of course)?
DD: I really think with Watson healthy, the running backs should have a great year as a group. He really opens things up on offense and puts a lot of stress on opposing defenses. Having to concern themselves with him, Hopkins and Fuller gives the running backs a lot of room to breathe.
@Texans1798: Dear Drew, Can you do a record prediction for the upcoming season?
DD: I leave it to Clubber Lang for this one.
