Tom Savage finds Bruce Ellington for 26-yd TD

Tom Savage found Bruce Ellington for a 26-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, and gave the Texans a 7-6 advantage.

On 3rd-and-4 at the Rams' 26-yard line, Savage went over the middle to Ellington, who he hit in stride. The veteran receiver cruised into the end zone untouched, and with the Ka'imi Fairbairn extra point, the Texans held their first lead of the afternoon.

The play happened at the 6:31 mark of the half, and at that point in the ballgame, Savage had completed 12-of-18 passes for 127 yards.

It was Ellington's second touchdown catch of the season, and the second touchdown pass of the year for Savage.

It was also the Texans' ninth touchdown pass of the season that went for 20 or more yards.

Texans fans showed up at the LA Memorial Coliseum to support their team.
